Winter Fishing Trips

We are fortunate in Aspen to see hatches year round, meaning fishing is possible in the winter. Warm winter days provide a nice break from skiing. Warmer days activate the midge hatch, offering great opportunities to fish in the winter.

To some it sounds crazy, to others it’s part of their ski vacation. It’s not every winter day I try to be on the water, but when the temps climb into the high 30's, 40’s and even 50’s, I love to take advantage of the winter bite.

Through February I offer wade fishing trips and once we get into March and April we can began floating.

Some of my most productive fishing trips of the year are during the ski season. So consider taking a break from skiing and experience the beauty and excitement of catching trout on our pristine rivers.
