Aaron has been living and fishing in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1991. Aaron grew up in central Michigan and inherited a love of fishing from his Grandfather. In his home town of Lake Odessa, Michigan life was centered around Jordan Lake, from swimming and fishing for bass in the summer to snowmobiling and ice fishing in the winter. When Aaron moved to Aspen in 1991, he fell in love with the rivers of the Roaring Fork Valley. Eager to learn as much as he could about these waters, he spent his spare time wading fishing, tying flies and hiking to high mountain lakes. This passion quickly turned into a job and progressed from wading to floating and eventually his own guiding service. Aaron spends over 100 days a year on the local rivers. When he’s not guiding clients, he enjoying spending time in the mountains with his family, skiing, golfing, hunting, backpacking, and of course, fishing.

Aaron is the owner/operator at Aspen Guide Service. He personally guides all trips, as available. When he is not available, he will set you up with another experienced guide, hand-picked from his community of local guides.
